Greetings Panos, Meagan, Spectrevision, A24, XYZ, and everyone involved in the next fantastical tale. Thank you for taking the time to listen to music cues I composed for Nekrokosm based on the single sentence description above!
There is no director, no filmography, no film score that presently exists that feels like it speaks directly to me like Panos and Jóhann Jóhannsson’s synergy. I felt a sigh of relief when I finally sat down in the Yonkers Alamo Drafthouse to see Mandy for an advanced screening, already being completely hooked into Beyond the Black Rainbow. I was relieved that films were connecting with me on a deeper level again. The story and soundtrack for Mandy sunk its teeth into my brain, and completely changed what I thought was possible with the ever-changing film industry.
I’d give anything for the opportunity to demonstrate the connection I have to the emotional, musical, and visual tonality within Panos’ body of work. I have become saturated with his vision in my own personal conjuring of my career path. I had to sieze the opportunity to submit myself to the production team, ready to do my best work.
Metal, Analog Synthesizers, Drone, Sound Design, Experimentation, Atmosphere, Musical Empathy, Connection, Experience, Passion, Drive. I’m here to connect the dots between Beyond the Black Rainbow, Mandy, and Nekrokosm. Connect the dots, and then draw the next picture. To compose music that will fortify the story, and then leave with the audience when they drive home processing it all. Whatever it takes to make it all come together, I am equal to the task and prepared to deliver.
